The Marchesa Fall 2012 presentation was held at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
The collection in shades of nude, cream, ivory, blue and red was inspired by William-Adolphe Bouguerau’s 1879 portrait painting, ‘A Soul Brought to Heaven’.
Models floated as if on clouds down the runway, wearing decadent fitted and flared gowns and ball gowns with floral embroidered bodices, gold bouillon embroidery and feather-like tulle skirts. I fell in love with the first dress I selected, accessorized with a high golden boot, thelong dresswithblue lacecorsetandthe dressthatgoesafter.
Olivier Rousteing’s second season as creative director of Balmain proved to be more spectacular than the first.
The collection taking inspiration from the Fabergé eggs Richard Burton with military-inspired jackets, and skin-tight dresses adorned with pearls, crystals and beads.
I like the rich baroque prints with leather lacing and pearl embellishments.
Another details like rich velvet pants, dresses and skirts, which were decorated with chunky belts with gold hardware.
I also like leather jackets, tuxedo jackets with satin lapels and pyjama-style pieces covered with pearl embroidery.
The collection is ultra-sexy with sleek silhouettes on a colour rich green, nude and black.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau so fresh is the first perfume offering from the company. Is the spirited of the original daisy. Is a reinterpretation of the original:the glass is elegant-a taller slimmer version of the original rounded, feminine silhouette. The exaggerated gold cap is topped with six pink daisies that are soft to the touch and a pop of neon yellow hidden amongst the daisies.
